After two long days of debating, cold weather and no cellphone reception, Claytons is sadly over for another year.
But it was well worth it as yet again we are proud to have another victorious Otago team etched into the history of Raincliff Youth Camp. Congratulations to the winning team, 'Simon's Sex Tape' (Kelly Stitely, Selena Ballantyne, Joe Garry). They won in a unanimous decision against 'A Night in Hamilton' (Cody Kirby, Beth Clearwater, Caroline Moratti) on the motion: THBT liberals should prioritise social over economic change.
Also a big congratulations to the other breaking Otago team, Straight 69s (Naomii Seah, Harvey Barron, Zoe Hetfield).
We also have two new accredited adjudicators, Savannah Gaskell and Emily Williams.
A huge thank you to all the people who helped make this Claytons happen, especially John, Tim and Alice. Canterbury DebSoc also deserves mad props for all their effort organising the tournament this year.
