Yesterday Joe Ascroft and Emily Williams represented OUDS up in Wellington for the The New Zealand Initiative Next Generation Debates (NZI).
They argued the affirmative in favor of the motion that "millennials needs to get better with money in order to buy a house."
Sadly they lost to Victoria University of wellington but certainly put up some stiff competition.

OUDS had Joynt Scroll trials this afternoon. Firstly a big thank you must go to Courtney and Jamie for giving up their Saturday to help with the selection process. With 10 min speeches its not exactly a small task to pay attention to a whole debate.

For second semester To get back into the swing of things from this Tuesday onward we will be staring our Pro-Am British parliamentary debating. This is a great opportunity for both new and old members alike to come along and get some practice in in what is commonly seen as the most fun or formats.

Once again Otago has managed to do amazingly well at another event this year with UQ Australs 2017 drawing to a close.
